SSL proxie needed
« on: September 04, 2009, 11:06:37 pm »
I am down at the very bottom of Brazil/Brasil for a few weeks and some of the sites I need to connect to have this whole country BANNED.
The free proxie sites I have been using to connect to them with so far take 5-15 minutes per page load.
I need a short list af -faster- proxie sites and prefer those with SSL connections if any of the Staff or members/visitors here have links to any please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
Z

Well now I know...no wireless for me to even see let alone leach off of down there but the word is $15 Brazil per month for broadband.
One US Dollar is 1.54 Brazil.

Had a long dinner and many kinds of beer with the GF's family last night (dinner with another each night),seems when she said her father owned the whole town she was correct. Her family owns almost all the property in the town of 20,000 people.

Tonight I am back in Sao Paulo with another inlaw a Doctor who lives in one whole floor of a high security condo right next door to the old US Consulate.

Visiting the GF's family.
When the economy picks back up to at least the point it was 2 years ago we are going to sell the ranch in northern California and move down here.
The money I have put into savings and stock will go 50% further here and she has already paid to build us a new home which is 99% finished (small but very nice) and we spent the past 2 nights in it.
Oh...the house is about 1/4 mile away (and uphill) from the river which is about 2 miles wide.

That is how wide it is 1 hour south of Porto Alegre that my GF and I have a house.
Here in Porto Alegre the river is 15 miles wide and has many islands in it.

Porto Alegre is a major shipping port on the river befor going south-east to the sea.

Back in Triunfo,Brazil (hours drive south of Porto Alerge)...seems the internet here is 4 Mbps, wish it was closer to our place so I could use it more often.

Seems like your inlaws were outlaws rofl. I thought in this day n age no one can "own" other peoples land (excusing landlords).
Being Australian is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, and then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV.

Most property in most towns is owned by somebody (or a couple of them) ;)

Stores, houses, malls etc.
