Two great nations divided by a common language.
this is true, since in america you only speak american, yet english is one of the most spoken languages around ....
you might have kicked the brits out in 1776, but what a great job the "United States of Amazing" has been doing ever since .....
* racial prejudice
* civil war / slavery
* welfare system that doesn't work
* guns outta control
* dare we mention Vietnam and the "shock & awe" of DesertStorm II
The only thing the world is interested at this time, is getting the economy back on track, and if Pres O can stand up and be the man he campained to be, then maybe, just maybe, the world will start to pay more attention to america !!!!!
After having spent some time on west coast, can say that the internals of america need to be fixed up fast. For LA/Hollywood and all the glitz and glamour, what a dive, how depressing to be a resident, there is certainly clear class distinction. Beverly Hills, you can fit that place onto a postage stamp.
Disneyland was a great place to visit, just a pity that "where dreams come true" doesn't reside throughout america.
But after all, the best thing that I took from my visit to america was QF1 from LA to Sydney.
