Power out to the whole county all day today and as a result all gas stations and shops are close.
Phone service just came back online.
My power is running only because I have my own generator which runs off a 100 Gal propane tanks just for it.

Planted many new fruit trees this year and ordered a bunch of cherry trees for this coming June (already had a backhoe dig the holes for them.

Put up a 7 foot tall deer fence around the area ( 5X150 foot rolls of fencing).

Put up a 7 foot tall 200X50 foot deer netting 100 feet from the house so NEXT year I can keep my melons, strawberries, tomatoes and corn without the damn deer eating it all!

I need a stable file host (free) that will let me upload a 50 MB movie...had 300 cattle with real cowboys pass right in front of our place and thought some of you might want to see Whopper/Big Mac on the move.

Here are some auto-cam photos of the mountain lion that has been getting close to the house.

It killed the deer and eat bits for 3 days.

I am in a high dessert but as you can see by the photo's is is still a forest.

I buy my gas for the Honda car one time each year when it's cheep at a commercial depot and put Stable into it...over the State line to save 40 cents per gallon.

Anything that lowers my output in cash each year is a plus for me.
Because of my bad back I have not worked in 10 years.

While this would bring most people to an absolute financial collapse I have always worked and saved to prepare for such things.
