DX10 without Vista?
« on: December 30, 2007, 09:46:51 pm »
I finally upgraded my comp- and have been playing crysis on HIGH settings with no problem at all.

Very High is only supported on DX10 AFAIK (hence Vista)- but I've heard there is hack out there specifically to let DX10 run on Windows XP.

Anyone got any info about it?  I though I remembered reading something about it here too- but couldn't find anything in search :(.

Thanks

Unzip this system.cfg into the Crysis root folder. It will force Very High settings under XP

As for DX10 under Windows XP there is supposed to be a hacked version in the works.
Look up Alky Project DX10.

ADDED:
Alpha version of DX10 for XP
