Edited CBF Detected
« on: October 13, 2007, 02:24:15 am »
I got the files extracted from the CBF file according to the instructions I found on this forum. I tried messing with the weapons file, repacked it in the INI/DAT folder structure as a CBF file, and put it in my game folder. I got kicked for #133. So I tried taking the original file, did NOT change anything in the file, repacked it, and put that in my game folder. I STILL get kicked for #133, even though all the data in the packed file is the same as the original. What am I doing wrong? Can someone send me a sample CBF file  that has the weapons edited and is undetected?

There's nothing wrong with the method you are using. It should work fine. Unless.......

Code: [Select]
Code 133, game data differs on the server and the client
Meaning you altered the wrong file. Yes, there are 2 weapon files. You picked the wrong one.
CrossmoLz hint: You got fist Alpha? If so, use it......

For anybody else who is trying to do this: The right way to do this is to take all the contents from vietcong_eu_01.cbf\INI\DAT\C77CAC3CBBA3C74.DAT and all the contents from fistalpha_01.cbf\INI\DAT\7CAC3C0C973A7874.DAT and merge them together (e.g., copy & paste into a new text file). This should be saved as 7CAC3C0C973A7874.DAT and packed as a CBF file in the folder-file structure INI\DAT\7CAC3C0C973A7874.DAT. Now you could edit the weapons, and nothing is detected (except for a few things like extreme ammo changes).

extreme changes to ammo or a minimal difference
