Saving Replays
« on: August 25, 2007, 09:11:14 am »
When you join a VC server as a Spectator, you can save replays using the rpstart console command. Is there a way to get Vietcong to save replays even when you are not a Spectator? Or is there a way to capture the data being sent to my Vietcong client and save it as a replay-file?

You could always GET fraps. AFAIK It's not freeware so you have to buy it and really your on your own if you want to download fraps. Just get and fraps and it lets you record anything. Pretty much as you start vietcong you can hit a hotkey (default is F9) and it starts recording video until you hit F9 again to stop recording. Gotta have a big HD though because the quality makes really big space. I've got over 20 gig of fraps recordings from all different games.
Being Australian is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for a Belgian beer, and then travelling home, grabbing an Indian curry or a Turkish kebab on the way, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV.

but the freeware version only allows 30 seconds parts of recordings right?.
to avoid the big size of the fraps recording files.
i just put them in movie maker and save it.
so after it gets to a normal video file.
