Crowd Farms..."free energy"

A rendering of how a train station and gathering areas that incorporate the Crowd Farm principles might look.

I dont understand what i am looking at, and if its what i think it is, i refuse to generate the electricity they sell back to me.

Is it true that DWP has a "hacker" discount?

Lol, to hack your power bill, just turn the meter connections around, so it acts like it is feeding electricity to the city, just leave it running for an hour or so with all the power running in the house to lower your bill, my dads an electricion so im not saying we have done this before because i dont want to incriminate myself, but im saying it works. i dont know about new meters though.

Msnbc did a crap job of explaining this (because they never)
From what I have gathered from the video the crowd generates power via their weight on platforms that move down when walked on.

Correct.
I recall either an idea or product that was hiker shoes or sneakers that would help recharge/run walkman/cellphone etc.

They also already sell sneakers that light up when you walk so you or your kids can be noticed better by cars at night.

I've seen a few good ones
Like one guy robbing a shop with a bag over his head and body. He got busted because his mall security uniform was visible.

Well, it's like when you work at some plant. You make 10 chairs a day. They pay you for 3 so they can make profit. If you want a few chairs more you got to pay them for your own work.
Heckling is an art, and game hacking a science.

In the case of shoes the power is 100% yours (charge power cells phone/laptop).

Installed in a train depot/airport/shopping mall it could add to running the lights or a/c-heat.

In some parts of the world they already use in part power from waves in the ocean, most common use is for marker bouys, but larger "farms" to help add to the city power are being worked on.
