Does ArmA have a counter built in and what is the command to turn it on?
Most gamers use FRAPS for all their frame measuring needs

Lots of 8800 driver issues reported on the BI forum.
So much for DX10 cards.

My 7900 has no problems for any game.
But maybe you can't play ArmA with 50/120 frames lol.

Are you sure?

I run with all the settings on high and never notice any skips/lag durring play.

i'm using fraps, before i had an ATI 1900 XT and let me tell, you can't compare it with the Nvidia 8800, this last one is more performant with the triple of frames, but again you won't be able to use multihack  :icon_sad2
Please Wesker or Mullah, let me know if you can think about something i can try, after using the hack it's really bad to play arma with trees and grass  :icon_thumbsup

I had FRAPS installed but never used it so I deleated it.
I think I still have a cracked file lurking about but will need to search other computers for it.

I was wondering what settings and frame rates others are getting...please post.

Got FRAPS.
I get a solid 30 (all settings @ max) with some small spike if I look at the sky so the game runs as smooth as a movie for me.

I tried differant refresh rates and no changes.
From what I have read on the BI forums thats about all I could hope for...and alot of people wish it would run that well for them.

Funny that when I play VC the game will let me put video into system ram and that gives me 168 average (spikes to well over 200+ in many places of the maps).
As ArmA is a DX9 also game it would be nice if they gave me that option.

Everest shows my overclocked DDR1 G.Skill HZ ram beating DDR2-800 by far in Read/Write/Copy/Latency.

vc = dx8
arma = dx9

there is a lot of difference ..

mainly dx9 uses extra variables than dx8 on the hresults which equals more computation which in turn meens slower framerates.

in general a dx8 game will run smoother ( graphically ) than a dx9 game.
