That's the sweet thing about D3D hacks.
One D3D hack works for all game versions (in 95% of cases)

I see. So for that you would do something like "value > unknown" and you would search for a float. And when the weather changes you would type "value > changed".
Fog slider max = 1 float
Fog slider min = 0 float
fog slider half way = 0.5 float

Wells well for most games.

Would be cool to make a true no fog. But that would be located in a rendDX9.dll

does arma have a rendDX9.dll ?
