Yesterday I listened live to the AMD shareholder meeting...they approved a doubling of stock shares.
That meens currant shares are worth HALF of what they started the month at.

I am waiting for the shares on the NYSE to drop between now and June 1st and then pick up 75K USD (or so from CD's @ 5.3%) of them befor the push to Q4 sales with K10 and native quadcore Optrons.

This time next year ( or a few months later) saleing half of those shares should put me on easy street (sale @ 50%)....then that money goes back into 1st Mortgages @ 12-14%.

No plans to sell the other half of shares untill the next time Intel comes back to the top of the dogpile.
Every 2-4 years rinse and repeat.

Also besides owning ATI,AMD also makes alot of next generation cellphone chips and solid contracts for them.
It is about alot more than just CPU chips.

For me it is even sweeter as AMD is a Califonian company!
