TKC site downtime
« on: March 20, 2007, 08:42:19 am »
As part of our ongoing efforts to improve the TKC forums and
hosting platform, we will be performing our scheduled quarterly
server maintenance between 12:00am midnight and 8:00am EDT on
Sunday, March 25, 2007.

During this time, TKC's main site and e-mail, along with the
TKC forums, may be inaccessible. We understand
that the availability of TKC's site is critical and have taken
the following measures:

  - For the majority of the duration of our server maintenance,
visitors who try to access TKC will be greeted with a
brief message that explains the maintenance and invites them
    to return after 8:00am EDT.

  - Any e-mail sent to you/us will be stored and then delivered once
    the maintenance is complete.

Regular preventive maintenance is necessary to ensure optimum
performance of TKC's site,forums and e-mail. On March 25th, we're
upgrading our mail NetApps, as well as the operating systems of
our load balancers. We're also upgrading the operating systems of of our MySQL database servers and redistributing the load
to improve performance.

Some users have also contacted TKC stff about issues with seeing Dev/Clan areas they are members of.

This problem is hoped to be resolved while we are offline as well.

For more info on the issue see:
