So post them.
With 10 valid online keys it is easy enough to figure out the pattern....you two keys will help.

Welcome aboard GrunT,

to be honest with you, your two CD-keys won't help in finding the algo. That's done through other methods. But they will help us create and test cheats. Just don't post them in public. It also seems like it's illegal to post CD-keys on US-servers (=absurd laws). But you _can_ always PM them to anyone you want.

This new CD-key system is bad. Once Call of Juarez started to require CD-keys for online play almost nobody wanted to play that game anymore. I hope this won't happen to ArmA. But if one takes the amount of advertising etc into consideration few players will learn about the game, just like with CoJ. And people won't even bother downloading the game if they know they are unable to play MP. As a result less people will play it, and buy it. Folks won't buy games they haven't tested just to play MP.

Moreover, CD-key checks opens up for an authoritarian EA-like admin style. If you insult the admin or if he just doesn't like your name (yes it has happened) he will be able to ban your cd-key. There's also a built-in global ban. This limits the freedom of online play, and should therefore be fought. We, the players, bought the game and demand our right to play the game as we wish. Against us we have status- and power- hungry clan server admins and money wanting game-devs and publishers.

However, even if they've got the upper hand now, we'll eventually take the lead as the ArmA devs have made a big mistake by indirectly publishing valid cd-keys on the net.

Of course I'll buy the game and get a valid CD-key that way, as it's one of my fav games. But if ArmA gets few players it's everyone's loss.

I already found the first one on the internet (google).
These keys are all checked via Gamespy Master Key Server and will be blacklisted for online use....however as all keys are checked by Gamespy it is easy for servers to become "no cd-key checking".
Just look for clues in the servers name to tell if they are checking keys or not.

Then why dont you start your own server? Then you can do as you wish, when you wish, to whom ever you wish, with out messing up someone elses fun. Sorry for sounding like a broken record but...If some one does not want you on "their" server that they make public because of your actions then shouldn't you respect that and allow them to run "their" server the way "they" want. Firstly, why should someone start his own server when there's no need for it? People do exactly what they want in online games and I see no problem with that. Secondly, if someone wants to play with their own imaginary rules, sure, why not. But why should other players too pretend to follow those rules? Why should someone decide how other people play? Can't people decide themselves?

Someone maybe likes to play with pistols only. Some other people use AWP or something like that. Some people prefer choppers. Some people prefer shooting everyone they see, ally or foe. People prefer different ways of playing because we're all different. It's not possible to force us play in one single "accepted" way. We do what's possible.

Im sorry I really cant understand your logic. Is that really the way you think things should be? Since we are all free to do what we want (I assume you mean true anarchy) then I should be able to do what I want, right? In doing what I want if I wanted to hack and crash your website I should be allowed to right? And you cant retaliate or punish me because you wouuld be just like those asshole admins( I think that would be fun and I am free to do what I like, Right?) Or if I find where you live I should be free to come beat you with a hammer because I think that would be fun, or screw your wife because I bet that would be fun too (this is hypathetical of course). I really dont understand your logic. I honestly believe you are retarded, only someone with some severe mental problem can see things the way you do, they usually refer to it as sociopathic. I suggest you seek professional help because your brain is wired wrong. Really

Nono, not at all like that.  :)
When people start crashing or hacking websites it has nothing to do with "rules" in games anymore. Same thing with violence in real life. Real life is not "virtual life". When I shoot somebody in a game I don't shoot him in reality. Nobody gets hurt. Therefore I can do what I want, and that's also why it's legal. It doesn't mean that I think it's ok to kill, teamkill or cheat in real life. You say that, that way of reasoning is retarded. But isn't it stupid to compare actions in a game to actions you do in real life?

But sure, it's every admins job to take care of people they don't like. But it's also every players job to play and stop everything that stops them from playing. If an admin bans a player from a server and there are ways to disable that ban I see no problem with that player joining again. If it's possible to get past the ban then it's no ban. It's just fictional, just like the rules of the game. If it's possible to play exactly as one wishes there's no reason why one shouldn't. For example, you get a point for capturing a flag. But the player maybe doesn't want that point, he plays the game for some different reason. There's no way you can force players to play exactly the way you want.

Sure you do you just disagree with it.

Quote
Is that really the way you think things should be?
As it relates to on-line games...yes we do.

Quote
...if I wanted to hack and crash your website I should be allowed to right?
Nobody is stopping you if thats what you really want. Only your knowledge of what that would do to your life holds you back.

Quote
And you cant retaliate or punish me
We both understand that is incorrect.

Quote
...you wouuld be just like those asshole admins
Who said they were assholes?

Quote
I should be free to come beat you with a hammer because I think that would be fun
Me?
I am an old man who carries.
I don't think it would go well for you.

Quote
or screw your wife because I bet that would be fun too
Well myself although I have kids I was never married to any of the women.
Go for it...I did!

Quote
I honestly believe you are retarded...
No you don't.
If you ever saw comic Ralphie May talk about retards...you would want to be one!

Quote
only someone with some severe mental problem can see things the way you do,...
Not true.

Quote
...they usually refer to it as sociopathic
Wrong again.
Look up the word.
