Invisibility.
Invisibility is usually the result of some map/skin/player exploit- almost always found by
accident. The fact that all current invisibility VC cheats (I've seen) work by exploiting
some specific bug means there is no general method/guide to creating a reliable invisibility
cheat in other games.
A few weeks ago, Micro documented a private technique and pokes for an invisibility VC cheat
that had been made by several DEV's a few days prior. The problem with this version, (and
the two before this) was that they were either too hard to control, crashed servers,
tripped HRADBA into making mis-leading detections, or just didn't work/on all computers.
Simply put- all previous versions weren't very great... & I felt it was time to step up to
the mark and work a bit of Subsky magic.
The idea of creating a reliable, 100% working invisibility cheat sounded awesome, as did
implementing underground in a trainer (so that it was not map-specific). Not feeling
challenged enough, I thought Smity's walk on air trainer in vctoolz2.5 was good fun aswell-
so why the f* not add that kind of functionality as yet another uberkewl feature?
After days of planning, analysis and tracing-
This is the end result, namely- the Z Coord Displacer v1.0.
Reconsideration: *Only public members who show an interest will receive a link to this cheat in a PM*.
It works by translating the Z (altitude) point at the origin of the map to a custom
defined one, whilst assuring the FOV (Field of View) of the player remains as it does
in a normal, 'clean' game.
This means that whilst your viewpoint on the map stays the same as you move around-
other players will see you either X units above/below the ground (where X is your
custom defined, translation from origin parameter).
So how does invisibility work? Make the X units extremely large, +ve or -ve.
For eg, in VC- you can only see roughly 60-70 map units in all directions. By changing
your relative displacement from the origin to something huge eg -1000, or 10,000
You're so far off the map on everyone elses screen that you're never likely to be seen,
but your FOV has not changed (eg, YOU'RE still in the map on your screen).
Try using two computers with VCHook loaded- you'll be able to see how it works- it's
quite amazing IMO.
It was very frustrating/challening to write- as modifying one instruction to do
specifics often resulted in side effects. In turn, this meant other subtle instructions
that were contributing to the unwanted needed to be changed to compensate too. It was
a very nasty cycle, & I felt like (at stages) I was gradually loosing a downhill battle
with the bad bytes
.
This version is eventually/only detected by #138, if you're greedy. However, a private,
completely undetected version may eventually be considered (not to be public).
This concludes my VC hacking for now- I will continue to release older, private hacks;
but no newly created cheats VC cheats will come from SubSky anymore
.
Suggestions, comments etc are all welcome.

P.S. If you read the instructions attached with the binary; they'll explain how to do things
with the trainer that you probably wouldn't know about otherwise.
