3D Mark 05 Scores
« Reply #15 on: April 29, 2006, 01:04:56 am »
Well alot of the inside temps relate to the VOLUME of air in the case vs air flow.

My case is very large CoolerMaster Stacker and has the spcl cross flow fan that puts outside air over the full size of the MB...and my HS and case exit fans are Silverstone 110 cmf rated.

This is the poor mans way to get almost the same temps as watercooling in a "normal" sized PC case:

I never use that stuff.

When I did a fast OC yesterday (looking for speed not stability) I got it to boot up to 2.9Ghz into desktop.

Without changeing any of the about 20 different RAM settings I seem, sooooooooo far, to be 100% stable on stock volts at 2.699Ghz with a 1:1 ratio.....still running a 4 hr stress test.

Temps now under a 100% CPU load:

Room=20C
CPU=33C
PWMIC=26C
Chipset=31C

My cooling on air seems to be top shelf...pays to think things out.

I used a memory ratio to boot into desktop @ 2.9Ghz and I think it may have been able to boot right up to 3Ghz....but did not bother to try.

The idea at this point is to just find the highest stable settings on stock volts and a 1:1 memory ratio.
Fine tuneing the ram is step two.

Others run a 1:1 @ 2.9 so that is my goal....do 100Mhz above a stock FX-57 on less power and $600-700 cheaper.

That score is good. But what's that PWMIC temp?  Power Supply?

Yes main IC chip the controls the MOSFETS and reports voltages to the BIOS.

So if I get a reg # for 3DMark05 and runn ALL the test should I get a higher score?

I think I got a score around 7500. But I'm not sure. I'll test the latest 3dmark later anyway ;)

New updated scores running @ 2.8Ghz useing a memory ratio of 9/10 (cant get these 2 1GB sticks to pass beyond 260Mhz):

3DMark03 = 20,059
3DMark05 = 9,485 (still no reg key to run all tests)
3DMark06 = 5.536
Aquamark = 95,430

System 100% stable....not bad for a $210 boxed cpu and stock voltages.

Latest updates...still no reg code for some tests.

CPU @ 2.860Ghz
Ram @ 260Mhz (DDR520 1T)
Cheep 7900GT @ 561/885 (DDR 1.770Ghz)
LDT @ 3X
HTT/FSB @ 286
RAM ratio @ 9/10 (180
All volts @ stock

3DMark06 = 5635
3DMark05 = 9732
3DMark01 = 32802
Aquamark = 97469
I forgot to run 3DMark03.

Maximum Temps on air in a 22C room:
GFX = 41C
CPU = 38C
NF4 chipset = 37C
PWMIC = 30C

Well lol ive had some fun.
 Yesty we clocked the amd 4000+ to 3.1 ghz (air) ran stable with the kingmax pc4000 hardcore series. We benched it and on 3dmark03 it got 20,000.

 Today i overclocked my 4200x2 to 2.57ghz with my ocz el platinum running at ddr 480 (only rated ddr 400). Have had it above ddr 510 but would remain stable for tests, need watercooling back in for higher clock.
Scored 23,198 in 3dmark03.

Got 7152 on 06.

 Oh and z here..
03 serial TKW7Y-5WWYA-X7WK7-68V1R
i have a keygen for 06 if u want it too.
