works fine on halong

but one more question
in the testing.cbf there are only a few sounds of the nature looped folder not all..
now i replaced all files with the silenced files..
but nvabase and the other levels still have background sounds..
where can i find the sounds of the other levels ?

The main thing with an addon is, that Vietcong only needs to read what is altered.

I modified the files that are in the addons, thats al i need.

The key is that you locate sound files in a map you dont want, you create a fake wav file, give it the name of the ones you want to be silenced, and stcik them in your addon.

EDIT:

its possible you still hear some sounds, i only "removed" the ocean, and the crickets.

yep
now i always use your silenced wave file..you have used to replace the sounds..

and you locate the unwanted sounds by using the editor ?

for example nva.. consists the background sound of many single sounds or is it one looped background sound ?

because i replaced all files in nature-looped and the sounds for the other maps stayed

hi

now ive silenced all sounds of nature, nature-looped and ambienty

but still cant find the fucking nvabase background sound..
maybe its ogg

i tried to find a codec checker for ogg files but no success.. could u send me a silenced ogg file because then i can replace other ogg's with it ??

or tell me where i can find nvasuck background sound..
i had a look into the editor but there i can only see the nature sounds.. not the background sound
you know what i mean ?

ok
now..
ive found the nvabase background sound
its in SND\STEREO\HALONG.OGG

i lowered the sound and repacked it
and put it into addons
if i go into nvabase the sound volume is still the same  DAMN!!

go here and download it and look into the package and test it

youll see it doesnt work.. i dont get it!!

i can send it to you but its not really usefull coz it only blocks some sounds not  all...

i need an empty ogg file that works to be replaced with an existing ogg file...
so that i can replace the background sound of nva

I dont know a way to explain it to someone better.
You need knowledge of VC, the way it works.

I suggest you start learning it.
