Graphic Problem
« on: May 01, 2015, 06:03:04 pm »
Guys recently I'm getting artifacts on my desktop while playing games. I had this issue before but could solve it by baking my graphic card in the oven (No joke google it).

Now the artifacts (squares) are there again.

Any suggestions how I can repair it?

It looks like I need a .....MEDIC .....
Ok that was terrible. Anyways thanks in advance  :icon_teehee

atrifacts = temperature too high or a solder on the board is peeling.

reduce temp by an underclock or rebake and check your card manually.

look for brown around a solder or de tinned metal ( dark grey not shiny )

No solder. But sort of "reflow". I can bake it again or use a hair dryer with rolled up newspaper  :icon_teehee

The problem lays with government idiots who said you can't use lead in electronic solder a few years ago.

You did the oven thing already, now you need to lay out a few $$ and either buy or borrow a selectable 15/25 WATT soldering pencil with a ultra fine tip and about 8"-10"'s of 40/60 tin/lead ratio fine gauge rosin core solder and get to work re-fixing every connection.

The oven...again/2nd time...will probably dry out every capacitor on the circuit board and make it a genuine pain in the ass to try to repair.

As FriendsKnow already said I am 15 years old. Never soldered in my life. Well I COULD solder (if there werent my parents). :icon_laugh Also I taght the oven method liqufies parts UNDER the chip. So that means I have ro dissasemble the chip. Oh dear  :icon_confused2
