Darwin and entropy

This Physicist Has A Groundbreaking Idea About Why Life Exists
http://www.businessinsider.com/groundbreaking-idea-of-lifes-origin-2014-12

Quality article and a very interesting way to look at the origin of life in terms of maximizing entropy production (which in essence would be the fundamental base of "Darwinian" selection). At least we could hope that's an efficient way to do it, or it turns out life would be a historical paranthesis.
