Why the fuck, does everyone seem to attribute everything to me? Like I'm some kind of developer power-ranger. Going around doing stuff everywhere.

"Yey! a whole shitload of people are just using a mod-app they don't understand, so they have to buy more CD-Keys". Yeah - great. That's just what I want my mod to be associated with. Maybe you think it's funny, but like thousands of GUIDs got caught up in this.

I don't know where it started, but it's retarded. And fucking senseless. The only positive I can see, is movement in improving the security getting so much visibility.

But seriously guys, I've got serious issues but some people in this group is fucking dysfunctional.

And why do that 100 post thing? I don't understand that at all, it just makes people post retarded stuff.

I've had the idea of an open world environment for mod-apping before, and I thought it would be pretty intense, something like a Matrix Game that didn't suck. But the problem is, people would build wiki's and tutorials and I think it could destroy it.

So yes, I think it's possible. But - the problem is the people who just use the wiki's and tutorials. They get it too easy. It would destroy any open-world mod-app game if people didn't actually have to design their own applications.

And that is what happened over the last week. It went batshit crazy. I don't know why, and I don't understand it. That is why I came here.

we got off to a bad start to be honest , i came back to this game and a lot of people contacted me telling me about this battleye script rubbish and that you were acting like a bit of a cunt , so i believed them without actually checking it all out  , however you seem like a fairly stand up guy comming on to tkc and voicing your oppinion's like you did is respectable.

but comming into tkc and poking fun at all of us is not a very intuitive move realy rocket as its like poking a stick into a hornits nest , it will make them angry and they will most like sting you again...

You're always going to get dickheads with game's of any type. But don't mark the ones of us who do this cause we HAVE to as evil.
The urge to tinker with games is engraved within a lot of the senior members of the community here and under the image of "HACKER" you'll find a collection of truly talented developers who just enjoy working on their creations.

ABSOLUTELY ban people who are ruining the game, Totally agree 100%. But just please be aware that lots of us... aren't and we're getting charred with the same brush here :(.

Cause now I read your forum posts and feel guilty...

not much to understand about it other than: these destroyers are IRL losers. the only joy they get is to destroy what other ppl created and their fun with it.

i think there really should be an intelligent test you have to pass before being able to access to internet. would make this a much better place

I stand by my first post. Last night, was terrible. Now I don't know who's "fault" it was. But the nuking of servers, well, it just made me realize how ridiculous it all is. I'm a realist, I don't think in terms of "enemies" and "allies". Everyone has different motivations, I can't try an understand you any more than I could understand anyone else. I'm not poking "fun", I'm being serious. I think - if you are going to say something to someone - you say it to their face. So I called you out on what I saw as being a senseless waste.

It was funny when the first bans come in. Then I just felt sick. Some of these guys, were probably just kids. I don't think they even knew what they were really doing. Now they have to buy another copy. Now they can't play the mod. I'm sick of the same horse shit zombie stuff, and I'm not saying DayZ is amazing because it isn't technically or artistically fantastic at all - but these kids found something in it. Now they can't play it. I pushed hard for these changes, because I wanted to end the madness happening this week.

And what do I feel? I feel fucking sick. This is not a good result. These people weren't all "bad" or "enemies". These people want to play something I made and now they can't. So I feel guilty for pushing for this, and I have to live with that. I came here, to say, for whatever part you guys played. Well - I think there are people here who you should too. I have seen the damage it has caused, because of the emails. I don't think you guys have.

Fair point , you dont want your mod destroying , if I made it neither would I , I see your point Rocket and agree to a certain extent but what I do not agree with is the method sables has taken on to deal with it ,it doesnt stop the people who know what they are doing all it has done in my eyes is hurt the game.

Reason: I see there is allready keygen talk ( not hosted on this site btw ) and it will escalate into people generating working keys which will in the long run directly dammage bohemia sales which is unfortunate but completely true.

If sable had any skill at all he would of developed battleye to stop the cheaters without him having to resort to a draastic measure like what he has done.

All this global ban shite has done is really hurt the community and pissed off a lot of people not necisarily cheaters but Bohemia interactive customers , If my son had been banned , id say oh well but some wont they will probably boycot BI products , way some people are I suppose.

I had respect for sable but its gone now with this stupid move from him , truth I feel fucking sick , feel most for the kids tbh its fucking shameless what sables done.

It does. He's more like the Merovingian; he drops hints, taunts people, and drops the occasional treat while at the same time maintaining his own set of principles while keeping his true power (IE, his own private mod-app), to himself or a very few close supporters, as far as I can tell.

Regardless of whatever beef you may have with $able, if it wasn't for him - today there would be no DayZ right now. I know some of you were on the servers last night, and you'll agree with me. It was fucking chaos.

There was no choice, I don't know if you were on - but seriously. A group of people were going through EVERY server and killing everyone in it, disconnecting, and going to the next server. What options were there? There were no options man, that's the awful thing. That is what I am saying. I don't think there are winners here, maybe this is a win for you. It is not a win for me, and it not a win for anyone caught up in this.
