Those RB's only allow you to select one  :P .
I can understand  and program all the major languages eg asm, C(several variants), delphi/pascal(my preffered), VB, and even some of the oldschool languages like COBOL. Most of my programming experience is with older machines, but I have been working on the windows API's a lot recently and know them quite well. Alas spare time is the achilles heel to my programming skill nowadays :? .

Does anybody know if there is any trick to running softice under XP service pack 2? I have never used softice before so I'm unsure if I'm doing anything wrong. I have updated the osinfo file in the drivers directory, but I still get a fatal blue screen crash(~your computer has been frozen to protect itself blah blah). I'm not using visual softice(should I be? It is installed with the suite..). I click on the "start softice" Icon, and the softice console screen comes up, but it's reporting an exception at the bottom, and then the blue screen comes up and fubars the OS entirely so I have to turn the PC off. Any help?

It's my understanding (some may say otherwise) that you can't actually use a "fake hradba" without the server now kicking you for cheating. I believe this was an update in the 206.

Nothing is impossible, I just haven't worked it out yet. It's sending the correct packets when it initially connects, but it must be performing another check I have to look for. I can't seem to find any documentation on cheat code #145 but I would assume that it's another remotely called function somewhere.....

My fake HB is being kicked for cheat code #145 from public servers. Anybody know what #145 is?

Is there any trick to private messages? I have sent a couple(or at least I thought I did) but they are just sitting in the outbox instead of the sentbox. Is that where they go with this forum, or is there something else I must do?

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Guide to fake Hradba
« on: November 03, 2004, 07:24:29 am »
OK, I've got the whole extraction and compiling thing working, but I'm trialling a hradba fake that doesn't modify any of the actual files itself, but more the memory as they are loaded. I've managed to bypass all the version and validity checks through my custom program, only thing is I need the debugger running to syncronise everything. No trouble at all until hradba makes the debugger(olly) crash(it crashes at the same spot without me tampering :? ). I'm sending the correct packets to the server(I think). WPE CAN read the packet VC uses, but you must reduce firewall settings. Any words of wisdom? I'm trying to get softice to see if that can survive hradba........

(there are two HB is the harder way)

lol, funny you should say that because there are two types I'm working on :). One of the earlier files was easier to use as a patch as it had several thngs in common with the latest. My complete rewrite however has been having issues as I seem to be buggering my arguments :x. I'm begininning to think that it may be some of my compiler options. :?

I'm assuming you all already have a map editor, so how about I suplly a modded 206 instead?

I don't mind, I'm sure everybody else already has their vc hacks anyway. I've just been too busy to get around to working on mine. VC's the first game I've ever really played online. I've been playing a little BFV too lately so PB will be my next target most likely. Do yourself a favour and learn a real language, VB's too simple lol :P

Thanks all. I was actually about to do that very thing lol. I have modified some HB files but have been needing to pack them. Which language would you prefer it written in, delphi is my WOC for most purposes, the executables are a bit bloated but you cn always compact them anyway.
