There is no indication this is an actual verifySign server, believe me or not, but if you view my other videos you will see that i don't play those kind of games.

to be honest the game is sh.t , but its quite humerous to piss people off , the people who play this game are the 'adult responsible serious gamer types ie they are old enough to consume alcohol and play arma 2 ' they get rather upset when you turn everything upside down and give people bombs though.

I actually enjoy the game, its mods and its tactical nature, being that i have been a gamer for almost 16 years now, i have seen it all done over and over again, all recent games are a disappointment trading user-generated content for DLC and storyline/game dynamic for pretty graphics.

Arma2 does not do that.

It could use better security, but i actually really enjoy the game.

Plus there is always no shortage of those "people who play this game are the 'adult responsible serious gamer types ie they are old enough to consume alcohol and play arma 2 ' they get rather upset when you turn everything upside down and give people bombs though" types, if you don't like those types head over to the 7Cav and have yourself some unconventional fun  :icon_laugh

This probably isn't worth mentioning this late in the threads life but, this will totally get you banned these days.

Run Arma2/OA and dump it with something like Kernel Detective, then commence debugging with IDA.

bragging much?  :icon_thumbsup

Seriously good job but there should probably be an entirely new section made just for braggers and fakers, lol

(not insinuating this is fake, just saying)

If you record packets with WPE (SendTo) you can see that your hacked pbos are transmitted over the network.

What Medic means when he says "hook the send function", it could mean many things but i construed it to mean hooking "sendto".

You can also fix... other things.

But modifying the packet with your pbos to send a pre-cached "clean" buffer should work fine.

Don't quote me on that!

EDIT: Actually, you need to "teach" the client to be less rude as well, good luck with that :D

well .. theres an easier method , but hooking sendto does work , just meens a little filter on it and only hook it when your entering a server then unhook after the accepted packet or it will lag like a mother.

Yeah especially the way i do it (i don't have log files except on Accept/PlayerInfo packet which is only on init) but i do run a findpattern on every packet, no bueno and can be a potential problem in the future.

You could keep tracking back with _ReturnAddress until you hit a specific segment though.

If they ever detect a sendto hook one _ReturnAddress later and you hit a vtable which could be stealthier.

Armed Assault 2 / Re: ARMA 2 Change Key
« on: April 12, 2010, 08:00:15 pm »
If you are using steam its worth noting that in Call of Duty WaW i had the same issue, the key would never change even if i changed it in the registry.

I later found that steam was calling registry functions on every game boot, and every install, to restore my original key.

I ended up hooking a windows registry API function steam used to "spoof" my key, and allow me to change my key.
