Fact:
You can ban any/every key ever issued (and more) without even installing the game and running a server.

It would be a chicken shit thing to do...but it is easy.

They did the same thing with PBBans, they'd probably remove all the "false" bans eventually.

game cheating forum , threads for game cheating should be for cheating not personal debates about total rubbish and personal issues you all have with one n other.

Well, I'd do more but I was told to be pretty lenient.
Also doesn't help when you involve yourself in the discussions, sorry but, you're part of the off topic discussions like 70% of the time.

There is so many methods to bypass.
>Change MAC address on router
>Reset router
>Use VPN

Well, some people do have static IPs and have to ring their ISP to get it changed. I usually say I'm being ddosed.

Say you're in one place (X/Y/Z) and actually be in another.

You realize if it wasn't reversible then BE and BI wouldn't know if your key was valid right?

GUID -> Key
ID -> Key

is not possible.

BI sends gamespy your key and gamespy checks if it's valid, the hashes are generated by the BE server only after that process occurs.

ID and GUID can not be turned into a key in any way.

yeah, GUID does looks like MD5 hash, i did not reversed GUID  generation algo, but i think it is not revesible, i might look at it later.

ID != GUID

Neither ID or GUID is reversible anyway. (By that I mean, you can't get a key from either of them)

he's developing battleye for ironfront , its been ready for a while.

i have that game actually and its worth playing.

It looks pretty good actually, might pick it up.

Yes i have seen the other by 'somebody' , and no one has noticed the rather serious flaw in it either.

someone has seriously underestimated the admins this time and he has just got a shit load of people banned.

Well, one of the flaws is that it sometimes doesn't detect the proper EXE and older versions didn't support the beta, people who didn't use the right EXE name or who used the beta already got script kicks, so the bans are on the way for them.

When it actually works correctly there's not that many flaws.
