As far as I know / have been told, OA is packed with securom and this means hex editing wont work.

Not the version i posted. All the beta patches are unpacked, and as a bonus don't need the disc.

Edit: Heck I suppose you could do it with the securom protected ones if you were persistent. No point making it harder for yourself though.

Epic fail to those unable to change 1 bloody opcode where the offset is given to you.

Just look for the JNZ before it pushes "BattlEye initialization failed" and change it to a JMP! Not hard!

But, Pride, it doesn't matter what byte you're scanning in?

People are laughing at you because the value 1 or 0 would be held by one bit, thus putting 4 byte, 8 byte makes no difference!

Well there are a number of ways to get it done...

But the first one to come to mind would be to set arma up in windowed mode, have CE ready with all the scan options (Especially the option that pauses execution), and just alt+tab.

Or the client/server versions if you feel like it.

You can even get programs without socks support working with a socks proxy with a few programs which hook winsock. Eg. Widecap, Freecap, Proxycap. (The 1st two are free, but the third is a pretty good suite.)

If you want to do this in OA (latest beta version), the offset is 4AF2B8 or 4B2612.

I dont think kick/ban works, unsure why but if you look at how they do it and global script it when an admins on it will work.

It doesn't work because serverCommand does nothing if you're not admin. (And as medic has said, there are... ways around that.)

When I said public variable, i meant http://community.bistudio.com/wiki/publicVariable as in broadcast variable, not public/private. Sorry, should have made it clearer. :S

Should note that it might be a good idea to hex edit the window name, as some scene trailers scan for trainerspy and start crashing stuff when they see it. (Ha!)

Well at least BIS went and fixed the whole "join with any damn cd-key you feel like" bug. Only took them 3 games to do it, but still haven't completely closed the hole!

Yeah, but with OA it actually checks the key with a server too.

If it passes the clientside check and you block the server, you're in.
