Random Insanity Board / Re: What are you listening to now?
« on: January 03, 2018, 09:31:28 pm »

The guy is still on tour. Saw him this summer.

(YouTube has blocked this here and the extra "nsfw" in URL does no good...Z)

Back in the day when a lot of people were hacking, and most importantly, learning the craft themselves, was an important resource.

Now it looks like they relaunched

No multiplayer cheating over there though, but you can learn (and get help with) what you need.

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Pterodons comments about our cheat trailer
« on: January 03, 2018, 08:22:03 pm »
Hadn't read them before:

For the first time anywhere, here are Pterodon's comments about the [TKC] cheat movie, cheats4ever.wmv (YouTube link below).  Michal Janacek, Pterodon's Vietcong Project Manager identifies each cheat and tells exactly how he will defeat it.   Michal wrote Hradba, Vietcong's anti-cheat, very soon after he saw this movie.

we just received a movie made by [TKC]. You can download it from there:

It's very interesting, I will write comments to every single part of it ( today or tomorrow)

Hello all,
here is my report on Cheats4ever.wmv movie...

GE - gama engine
HB - Hradba AntiCheat

Head gear change (movie 0:14 tank, 0:51 tree)
What can be done: placing any ingame object on the head of player, every other client see it.
How it works: This is done by changing headgear definition in a process memory.
Fix: fixed in v1.34, GE server checks information received from clients

I found a solution using uBlock Origin. It's a quite cool tool that lets you select any part of a webpage and block it, i.e. popups, some paywalls and so on. However, while it works on youtube, it appears that google search uses a randomized identifier for its obtrusive content. It should still be possible to block out as part of the name is constant, though.

Definitely a good game. Larger scale, more tactics, and somewhat more realism. However, Vietcong characters felt more fluid in some way. I think there were more close encounters there as well, while the average engagement range in Rising Storm is some 100 m more.

Mount and Blade / Re: When will Bannerlord be released? Any information?

The trailers there look really promising. No idea what they are working on right now. Maybe they'll release a complete product. M&B was in beta or so for a long time.

Google seem to have patched this now.

Do they require login for the embed for you?

I'm blocking their main login requirement through a greasemonkey script goog-no-reminder (but probably only affects EU people).

Good bypass though, will come in handy.

This is good  :icon_laugh

But getting their names from the IP is a bit difficult. Probably sniffs more information relating to their PS-accounts as well.

Looks really good:

At least, if there'll be MP, we still got Hecklers guide :P

C'mon Ruben!,16524.0.html ;)

Yes, it's an excellent game, but it's a bit different from Vietcong. Don't know exactly what it is. Something about the movement probably.

Very intense gameplay, and good command chain implementation.
