Off Topic / Hello to all
« on: October 08, 2011, 07:15:09 pm »

Just wanted to send out a greeting to all.

Although many would say we had our fair share of disagreements, ultimately- I had a ball whilst on this forum.

Load up a tool like RegMon (monitors and logs all program access to registry) and then set your name in game.

It should point you to the key/value.

aaaaa worth.
I was looking for a value of 1 not 0.
So we must seek the values 0 and 1.
Thank you very much.

Generous post Johnmann- good to see you helping another member out.

If I still had my VC hacks on this computer, I wouldn't hesitate in sending some your way- you'd have a blast.

And SR.MUETRE- you should never be thinking in terms of magic numbers (e.g. 1 or 0).  The only thing that is given is that a value WILL change when you perform some action.  By searching "has changed", "has not changed" requires patience but is often the only way to track down values and create new and unique hacks.

Hey all

Was going through the footage of all my hacks and came across one in particular I thought I'd share.

Basically, I take a machine gun and turn it into a sniper  :icon_laugh.

Enjoy  :icon_thumbsup

ohh yeah and man this game is easy to hack lol

That super jump isn't the real value- it causes all kinds of strange effects.

Find the REAL value and make it undetected in a HRADBA206 server  :icon_thumbsup.

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Re: 1st person spectator mode
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:33:22 pm »
Is it possible that a spectator can go in the player's skin?, any tips im trying to make this?.

I remember that lazypig made a 3rdpersonview the player could see hisself walking(just like the spectator) is this possible for the spectator only than conversely.

It is possible.

You'll need to switch in and out of those views in the game and then search for memory changes.

The last engine exe made by the SFX dude unlocks all the features.
Other features like the ones on Luke's (Red Terror) doesn't work, it's just a joke he made.
So whatever you'll find on the customer, has already been unlocked, i can assure it to you 100% as i did mine years ago.
Btw, reshack works...

Are you sure?  If I remember correctly, there weren't any static Win32 GUI calls inside the game engine that passed in their handles.

I thought they would have been stripped out due to a conditional "release" compilation directive.

Reading threads like these encourage me to write another hack.

Too bad the servers are empty these days...  :icon_cry2

You know the CE3 bypass is sitting in the download section waiting for one of the admin to APPROVE the file for public download...and it's been waiting in limbo for some very long time.

You needed a bypass to run cheats on CE servers?

Does anyone else find their serious attempt at making an anti-cheat with Visual Basic Classic kind of... funny?  :icon_laugh

This thread is fucking brilliant  :icon_thumbsup.

As it turns out, the OP didn't leave a PM for me either.

Can't remember how I coded it to be honest...

Make sure you have OpenProcess() rights, it only uses WriteProcessMemory() I think.

Not offering personal support on the hack so if it doesn't work you have my permission to reverse it otherwise you can go without :).

I took part in something similiar when I was younger.

You shouldn't be focusing on asm or c for this competition, although I do think you should know binary/hex/octal conversions.

My guess is that you need to be able to write code to solve problems they give you, and your biggest concern will be time.  You just can't even write throw away programs very quickly in lower level languages.

As much as I think VB is a toy, VB.NET does have access to the BCL.  Get to know your way around there.

This is how you really do it...

1)  Stand with the player against a wall so that his gun is raised/disabled
2)  Memory scan for address storing current ammo amount in weapon
3)  Attach ollydbg and Go To Address found in Step 2
4)  Force some conditional jumps over code above the ammo decrement assembly instructions and observe any effects in the game (e.g. you're looking for the sudden lowering of the gun upon forced jump)
5)  If you don't observe anything interesting search the caller, and it's caller etc, repeating the same process

When you find the jump that checks for collision, make it ret.  If this doesn't work, just keep playing around with conditional jumps around calling code- or dig deeper into the collision check function.

You'll find something eventually.
