« on: May 08, 2004, 08:38:32 am »
I saw Joker start to use it befor the .com went down.
I said nothing about it.

I like it....he likes it.
Both of us are happy.

But PLEASE do not use it on any other board but here.
I use it on Gathering and others because I am the TKC Representative (did I spell that correctly?) and use it as ambassador to the other forums.

Z.
Not "Z" or "the" Z or even Z_Old_Dude.

Just a Z and in no way part of my Z Clan.

Vietcong 1 & 2 / 1.60 NON-SUPERJUMP
« on: May 07, 2004, 07:22:28 am »
Perhaps I was not clear as to what I ment.

Super jump and under ground ARE detected.

What I ment was to just try to make POINT OF VIEW/FIREING up above everyone else.

If it worked then it would be better than a superjump as you could look over/behind things and shoot people without them seeing you.

Mini-Z plays it all the time and does well at it.

1.60 superjump is detected by engine and HB as well as underground HOWEVER.....

Think about the REVERSE of "underdround" for a moment.....

You ARE in nomal space/ground...but your POINT OF VIEW/WEPONS are up in the air.

If this works then
your point of view/fire could be 8-10 mtrs above everyone else.

AS I do not program this is just a thought for those of you that do...let me know if it works or not.

-At least one constructive or helpful post is minimum.
-It's required to be able to cooperate and work with other people.
-Be as active as possible, security reasons.

And have SOME programming skills that relate to this game..

Well it isn't needed now. We've got a 5gb bandwith / day.

Thats 5 GB per day on THIS site.
The TKC Mini-server has 10/10 MBps down/up load and NO daily banwith! :!:

ZOldDude what your saying........

I thought "what I was saying" was clear enough.
If you find trouble understanding it go find a grown up to read it to you and/or explain it to you.

>Room Mod....this whole tread belongs in the OFF TOPIC area. Please move it.<

I only play Vietcong online and myself don't ever bother with any of the cheats/extras or TK'ing.

I was one of the first people in TKC and have TESTED all the things our group has made for Vietcong for general knowlage (and a night of rageing fun). But in the long run I myself enjoy the challange of play on even footing.

I see people in the game that I play cheat....and I get TK'ed as often as the next guy (more so when they find out who I am) but I never get angry at others for haveing what ever fun they find in what is just a game.

As far as people that PROGRAM cheats....
It is like trying to find the answere to a puzzle.
It takes SKILLS OF THE MIND rather than a fast computer...internet conection....hand/eye functions.

Unlike PLAYING a game these TRUE SKILLS move forward to serve a person not just for that night but the rest of thier lives.
They may one day become a game programmer.
They may one day find a cure for an illness.

I may well be the OLDEST person to play the game I enjoy but that does not mean that I do not enjoy playing with those young enough to be my Grandchildren....nor myself not find some humor in haveing some "jokester" or even an hateful person TK'ing me as it is really just part of the game.

My outlook has served me well in my long life.
That same outlook lets others on the game publishers forum accept me even knowing who I am and being one of the Founders of our group.

I serve as admin on paid game servers and as a Mod on many forums with ALL haveing this knowlage of me and with respect as to my outlook in general.

That all being said....
Summer is comming and one day each month all HOLLY HELL will come forth as I am backing plans for "Cheat and Team Kill Days".

I say let everyone come together 1 day out of 30 and have contest and get it out of thier system and have a good time doing it!

Operation Flashpoint / How can i make mod files undectable?
« on: April 05, 2004, 06:51:04 am »
Dates and file size are most common.
More than that makes for very long delays in trying to connect to a server while it checks each and every byte of your game (some are 4-5 disks large now).

The basic idea of PROTECTING against game mods and cheats is also the BASIC idea about what to look for to bypass such protection.

It is just basic programming....not rocket science!

Demos / To STOP Demo Server Crashing
« on: April 01, 2004, 04:13:52 am »
First off the people who made the demo don't give a shit about it.

We should not be expected to do thier job or compleat thier work....for free.

This is how the "company" works and how it treats people who are smart enough to fix things:

What this board (TKC) now trys to do is help those who kinda know what they are doing but may need a hint or bit of help....it makes that person a better skilled programmer.

The "cheating" and fun part are what brings some people into the sections here that deal with programming.

The guys that just want a "click-n-run" type of cheat mostly just look in the download section and the HOW-TO parts of this board just make them angry becuase they do not understand.
