Vietcong 1 & 2 / Paintball Mod - Now Community Mod - Need Members

I have now figured out how to create fpv/3pv stg's, 3pv/fpv eqp's, manm's, for vc1, so that mean's I pretty much know how to be able to create a mod that will work pretty well now.
After these tedious days of importing and exporting for hours, I started to realize, to make this a great mod, I will need more than just myself, and will need a team!

So if you are interested in joining up with this paintball mod, we can finish it at a reasonable pace. I know what needs to be made, just need reference photos, models, sounds etc that other modders may be able to help me with. No n00b modders please :icon_teehee, you need to have a bit of info on one area or more of Vietcong modding ie; mapping, scripting... etc.

I'm not online heaps, so I'll need an active online project manager about too. Not much modding necessary, but keeping kids in order essential.

Positions: Sounds, Textures, Models, UVW, MANM, LOD, Scripts, Mapping, Characters, Weapons, Animation, Reference Collector, Game Tweaking/Hack (adding/improving), AI Scripting
Used Interests: 3dsmax, Motion Builder, Photoshop, Cinema4D, CBF Packing Tools, VC SDK

As the mod progresses, the team will learn how I create my mods, animations and most other techniques for Vietcong modding.

I think that this paintball mod will be fine for a group of modders to complete in a few weeks, depending on level creation progress and some other larger areas. Buzz me up, because I really want to play this game online again and have some classic fun in this engine again.  :icon_laugh

Full credit to all members will be placed into the custom credits scene with credits rolling. Any members can suggest new ideas for the mod, anything like that etc!

A suggestion from another VC1 fan has asked the question if it would be possible to "hack" or alter some files to give VC1 a specular or bump-map look? Even the use of some light shaders like bloom or similar. Vietcong uses shaders, but I have not looked into them much, if they are in fact, anything at all.

If anyone is interested... you have to wait... Unless you want to join in the tedious time-wasting fun of writing every one of these .html files by hand, or if you have a better way to make this faster ( doubt it ), drop me a line :D

I think I will create a few .chm files of ALL scripts and information I have collected over the years for Vietcong modding. CHM files are so neat and tidy!

Vietcong 1 & 2 / editor.exe - More dialogs

Just out of concern, I made my own editor version ( dev_editor.exe ) years ago and I could only open a few of the dialogs that were hidden to customers. There are still some more dialogs that are hidden, but I cannot seem to get access to them. Are there any tools similar to ResHack that could help me to connect menu items to dialogs so they will open and show for use? Will upload a screenshot soon of these extra dialogs; Login / Password etc...

I never actually realised that one of the old scripting dudes made me a Paintball script ages ago and I never got the chance to use it! Well, I have it now and thought I could really make some fun paintball mod still with the game. Tell me your ideas on this too

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Hunting game?

After taking a look back into the code and modding stuff I have collected, I think that I may be able to create a hunting type mod using the Vietcong 1 engine just for a bit of fun. I think I can create some animals to move liek the AI, but the only issue I have is not being able to create my own bones to export out of 3dsmax, only a biped system with a physics modifier applied for a skin on a mesh, then exported as a .bes Skeleton Object, or normal .bes.

I already have a deer / buck model made, and the antlers will most likely be randomly changed style, size, amount of spikes etc with scripts and certain bes objects. If anyone has some tips, pointers or tools I may not have yet, please reply.

Tools I use: Haluz Studio, 3ds max plugins (VC1 & VC2), totalcmd, sdk scripts from (everywhere) - missing some still, others I will apply here when I return, in a hurry at the moment.. soz.

..Just out of a concern, has anyone either than PMT-Jimmy gotten thier hands onto the source code for the 3dsmax plugins and maxscripts??
Even other tools for Vietcong.. I have a few ( non-released as well ), but need those import / export source files!
I just think that it sucks that after all of these years, I still cannot complete any of my mods that I wanted to make up.

Even worse, when I first started with Vietcong, I didn't know code at all really.. and now when I look back on the code, I realise just how
easy the SDK was to follow and use. Help me get these files, and i'll make you a new game to hack :P

Hey I am just wondering if anyone has a good DoD 1.3 hack as everyone seems to be using them now, so its a tad hard to play legit lol. If someone could hook me up or make me one. Hello to all again :)

Hey guys over here @ TKC! Thought I would just say another ello-ello to you all, Ill try to read up on what has been happening next time I am online, did not have the time now though. So hello to all those who know me :D

Recently I have been working on a Guitar Hero clone called Guitar Zero II. So hopefully a demo release will be out soonish. Before this I was helping out with another clone called Frets On Fire, but it was a bit unstable, so I moved onto another.

Hey guys, hello Mullar long time since I been here  :icon_laugh

Just wondering if someone is able to help me out. I have been using programs like Cheat Engine and T-Search for friggin years, but I never seemed to figure out how to defeat DMA and using it into a trainer like TMK or GTS. I would really appreciate it if someone would guide me through each step, for an example - making a trainer for Warcraft 3 to add say 20,000 gold by pressing a button OR SIMILAR but using the same process. I'm just fed up with having to search each time.

Please do not just throw me links to tutorials unless the explain EVERYTHING. I have read too many tutorials on this, but it seems they miss sections or add too much shit making too much to read. I need someone to step me through, please.

Hope to hear from someone soon.

P.S- Good to see that you are using the TKC logo I made for the main site Omah :) Appreciate that, even if i made typos in it I think lol

I just d.loaded and installed ViceCity yesterday.. you guys still play? Im going to have a look at some modding sites because it looks like a bit of fun. Is it possible to create your own missions?
Also im gonna have a whirl with t-search to see if theres anything quick i can mess with as always :P

Hai people.. thought i would drop by and read the latest goss and bitching and fun fun fun around the place. I see many new members in here which is pretty cool, and i see Z still beating people up with his words! Not much has changed i shall tell you that. Vietcong 2 looks shyte and i wont be purachasing that at all @_@

Anywho, just thought i should add to the bitching and..err..stuff. This is really a hi to all whom i used to chat to in here, Mulla, Z, Lava, Killa, hoax-ravenheckler, Heckler, Joker, Koopa and im sure i missed some poeple but  :roll:
