Trying ti keep in touch with the various gaming forums = alot of general reading, a few laughs, and ppl going for ht e throat of others.

Found this one :    http://scassassins.net/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=4998

(pity rest of that thread was deleted, could have been some interesting reading, SCA chasing ppl, again)

Vietcong 1 & 2 / "hiding" your ip address
« on: March 25, 2009, 07:42:10 am »
I've been in some games where the admin has been trying to get a players ip, to then ban them, but they're crying foul as their is no ip available for that player.

I appreciate you can't really hide your ip or your location but there would seem to be a way of maybe using a "false ip & false location" that ppl see, instead of your real ip/location.

So, I've been looking/searching through the TKC forums for anything on "hiding" your ip address, but not having real luck - can anyone point me in the right direction.

Also "googled" hide ip, and got various programs such us NetConceal ........ any advice/comments on these?

cheers :smile

Random Insanity Board / Teamspeak "hacking"
« on: March 20, 2009, 06:18:43 am »
Not sure if this really is hacking or good use of the "whisper" command in teamspeak, but

have been joined into a few teamspeak servers, and good lord, outta nowhere there is a barrage of abusive foul language that continually blasts through the channel.  Obviously it might be some kid with not much else to do (isnt it wonderful how we always blame the "kids"), but whoever it is they seem to be more intent on having a go out the channel rather than an individual

The only to get out of it is to disconnect and re-connect, but back they come ............... they seem to be after the AU servers/channels !!!

Has anyone experienced this before?

What else could be done to stop it (its a nuisance more than anything)...................

Vietcong 1 & 2 / VC game freezing is making a comeback
« on: February 16, 2009, 06:02:12 am »
Not sure whats sparked the latest round of ingamefreezing, but the OZ vc game servers have been copping a bit of a hit lately, its certainly pissing of the server admins    :icon_rolleyes2

and they only seem to be targeting the SCA clan members ........ :icon_razz2, regardless of what server they might be playing in

at least its giving them there high&might admins something to do, instead of pissing on the players

Announcements / gidday
« on: October 14, 2008, 07:26:10 am »
Intro .... gidday, i've been curios about TKC, and have read through various forums, and I'm liking what i'm seeing,  plus i've had enough of the regimented admins in VC, and like the fun that TKC is about.  I kinda have a distorted interest in how games are programmed, and guess TKC is the place to read and learn and experiment a little, or much .......  :icon_cool2

cheers
