Vietcong 1 & 2 / [RELEASE] VC2 - 3rd person view
« on: February 27, 2007, 01:55:58 pm »
I don't play vc2 and I never made 3rd person view for it because of that, plus I figured somebody else would have made it for vc2 by now cause I told in a earlyer post how to do it.
Since nobody done it by now and a lot of people seem to be interested I installed vc2 just for the occasion and spend half an hour making it. I think it works but since I don't have a valid key (I know, deeply ashamed) I could not even test it in multiplayer.....
I think it works though and I can only hope it is undetected but I think it is.
Please let me know and post feedback here, thanks in advance.
Hotkey's are , (comma) for on and . (point) for off

EDIT: From feedback that's been given me this seems to work only for the 1.0 version of vc2.
will update tonight, keep giving feedback here plz
EDIT2: I updated to 1.10 fist bravo and did it over, now the rar file contains 2 versions, a version for 1.0 and for 1.10 (fist bravo)
Please keep posting feedback since I still can not test online...

enjoy,
LazyPig

After testing with the Omen we discovered that it didn't work with the cracked exe nocd patch so I updated it to work with that version too. there are now 4 versions in the rar file for vc2 1.0, 1.1 fist bravo, 1.1 cracked and a version that works for all of the above.
The one for all versions might be buggy because it changes memory addresses that are not in use but I think it will work, if not use one of the other ones.
Good news is that it is in fact tested and undetected :D
Thanks goes to the Omen, thanks mate.

Vietcong 1 & 2 / [RELEASE] 3rd person view
« on: December 23, 2006, 08:39:17 pm »
Ok, after a long time playing vc and editing files (cbf) I made my first trainer with a little help from my friends Marecek and G-spot and the excelent tutorials from Subsky and Solid Snake.
It's a 3rd person view, just like when you drive a car of boat, you can see yourself from behind. It's hard to play like that but it's nice for making movies/screenies :D
To use open trainer, start game (or the other way around), press , (comma) for 3rd person view and . (point) to return to normal view.
This only writes a value in memory and does not freeze anything so this should never be detected.
When you die or move on to the next map the effect is gone and you have to press the hotkey again, anoying maybe but this way it stays undected. And since this is a natural game state (when you drive a car of boat) even a new hradba (never going to happen) wouldn't detect it.

Here is a screenshot:

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Some useful tools
« on: December 07, 2006, 05:10:58 pm »
Ok I didn't make any of these tools, I just found them on the net but I wanted to share because they can be very handy sometimes.
First of all there is the Bfcreator, the only tool that makes cbf files (or .dat or .vc2m) and properly packs them, just like original cbf files. Final filesize is almost half that of total commander.
Download here: http://www.indiglow.co.uk/download.php?view.70
Explanation here: http://indiglow.yeahbothered.com/wiki/index.php/BF_Creator

Another usefull tool is the dev_editor.exe (for vc1), that is just like the normal multiplayer map editor but loaded with extra stuff that's been left out in the normal version. One of the extra's is the collector function that collects everything like .bes files, textures etc. that's been used in a map
Download here: http://www.oncency.com/vc/converting/convertingVC1maps.htm
There is also an explanation there how to use the collect function but there are lots of other things in there that are not in the original version, like "certificate hradba" "compare cbf functions" "generate crpt keys" "translate #133 data" and much more of that stuff. Unfortunatly I can't tell you what it all does if anything at all :D

Another useful thing (if you want to edit .bes files) are the 3dstudio max plugins for vc2 because unlike the plugins for vc1 you can now IMPORT .bes files in 3dstudio max. You need to have vc2 installed with the vc2 editor, all of them can be found here: http://www.indiglow.co.uk/download.php?list.18

Well, I hope this will come in handy for some people, enjoy

Vietcong 1 & 2 / Gaylong Port; the most useless cheat ever
« on: October 31, 2006, 05:36:16 pm »
Ok, I think I made the most useless cheat ever and because it's the most useless cheat ever I want to entirely dedicate it to "Newcheater" for allways saying "another useless cheat" :D
With this you turn halong port into Gaylong Port (Newcheater must feel right at home :D)
Come on Newcheater, I would be very disapointed if you wouldn't say how useless this is..... I even made it a poll just for you so you can vote "yes this is the most worthless cheat ever" :D
Just put the cbf in your vietcong folder, it's undetected.
