I have the view setting also on max (about 10X normal)...does that also apply to the enamy AI in the coop games I set up?
These guys are killing me from so far away you can hardly see them with a scope.

hmmm
I believe the AI only normally open fire at around 300-400m unless you are dealing with snipers.

I noticed a strange bug once where an enemy tank was 200m about away from me and it never popped-up untill I was too close.
Needs big time fixing.

I never got that far trying to connect to other servers even when I set the ping filter to a low of 75....I just ran my own coop game.
Even behind the router with no extra ports open I had pepole join which I found to be a strange thing.

Could be that it is installed closer to the end of your HD which will read less with each spin near the front end.

I deleted a few things first and used O&O Defrag Pro,rebooted and then ran Tuneup Utilities registry defrag program so I could get the best speed out of the demo when I installed it.

Display Adapters: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 2.00GHz

:( I might buy a new PC @ the start of next year when Vista becomes pre-installed on computers, but I am not sure.

So you just need a better gfx card?

Buy a PC?
I just build them myself, you get a better rig that way and cheaper as well.
Vista sucks.

Lol, I haven't played a single MP game and it says I'm banned, or "kicked off". The times it works I see a blank setup screen...
I tested to start a server. That at least worked. The performance has been greatly improved, either that or it's the x64 drivers for my gfx card. The game plays smoothly on everything apart from postprocc-high AF-very high. View Dist 2500m.

That's some odd sounding problems you guys are having
I've not had any problems with the retail version :?

Receiving Mission File normally takes me about 10 secs

waoh , i get a error message:

(http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/5342/sanstitreuy2.th.jpg) (http://img528.imageshack.us/my.php?image=sanstitreuy2.jpg)

says d3dx9_30.dll can t be found.
the reinstallation of this application can solve this problem.

as i am only messing with directx8 recently , could it be something with directx9 like the demo not installing it?
