Title: utterly pointless greetings
Post by: eli on February 28, 2018, 05:54:14 pm
i recently went on a nostalgia trip through old contacts and sites i used as a child and remembered for a moment my time playing the Vietcong demo in late 2004 early 05, which brought me back here. i was amazed to see the community had persisted and several familiar names remained. some old posts made by an eleven year old me even remain on this very board from its early days. part of me wonders how ya'll even function in todays multiplayer world with pissy devs banning people left right and center for some banter, let alone persistent heckling but i'm sure you find a way.

at any rate, i don't even know if this is the place for this kind of post, but since it appears to require mod approval to begin with i figured i'd just express my joy to see this place still exists and i hope the years have treated you all well. if it doesn't belong here then at least i said hi to the mod who denied it, hi pal.

Well some of us do exactly what we did back then...we simply don't consent to be banned.

The game that has the most attention today is Mount and Blade.

Seems like our nostalgias lined up bro lol. I've been feeling very nostalgic lately too. There's nothing better than the good old days, man.

as ever, you boys never fail to impress.

on another nostalgia trip so i felt like checking in once more. it's hard to believe it's nearly twenty years ago i wrote this (https://tkc-community.ddns.net/forum/index.php?topic=1847.0), in piss poor english, attempting to sound very much not like a child, leaving a fake name and all. mullah being very unhelpful, refusing to spoonfeed this dumb ass kid looking for a handout. i faintly recall finding my savior in LTC, who i managed to add on msn afterwards. dark skinned man from Holland, if i'm not mistaken? he taught me how to do basic regedits to dick around in the VC demo and inspired me to torment servers in VC, BHD, MOHAA and the first COD until life caught up.

hope you're all well, i shant necrobump this yet again in another couple of years unless i find myself shitfaced and in need of good old memories again.
