Title: Unban... code ... Vietcong 1.60
Post by: MrMedic on August 07, 2014, 06:34:56 pm
char worldpeace="MRMEDIC";
mem_w(0xE8CA60, worldpeace, 7);

that is all there is to it.

if you are unfortunate enough to have received an ip ban then a simple solution is to change your ip by resetting your router.

You go into the REGISTRY and change the ID that is randomly generated when the game is installed.

Rainer Stoff simply had a script that did this automatically a few times every second.

From my post in 2005...

Quote
Basicly:

1) delete the registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Set
2) delete the file: Vietcong\Cfg\pt.dat
3) restart VC

another way, to unban you without restarting vc, is simply patching the offset where your 'guid' is stored: 0x00E8CA60 ( 10 bytes )
you could make a trainer for this or whatever or just use t-search after you have been banned.

If any of you programmers want to make a small auto-fix program for this then please do so.

Had a ban hacker the other day in one of the servers, his name was "TKC tester #8" and i banned him several times with normal banning method... he kept returning and teamkilling until i put up our password protect...When i was banning him, it would kick/ban him, then he would rejoin seconds later,...until password went up...I also ran a trace which i received several cities he could have been from, mostly came back to Los Angeles through Verizon though, but really there was no way to trace, it seems like his adresses were being created within seconds perhaps....i should post the ip adress of the TKC person, but im not sure of legality issues with that...

"TKC tester #8"!   :icon_cool2

I used #8  in the nickname just to rattle cages...sort of like "Seal Team 6" is the only team.
